ZUK Z1 will be sold as the Lenovo Z1 in India

zuk z1 review

We reported about how ZUK was planning to launch the Z1 in India, following the launch of the Z2 Pro in China.

It turns out, the phone will be sold directly under the Lenovo brand name in India. If you aren’t aware, ZUK is a Lenovo sub-brand that took birth to battle it out against ‘internet’ brands such as Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc.

The Z1 is expected to launch in the coming days in India. However, it won’t be sold as the ZUK Z1, but rather as the Lenovo Z1 – Powered by ZUK.

Gizchina News of the week

Lenovo already have a strong foothold in India, and the move is seen as one where the brand will bank on its existing goodwill.

The Z1 comes with a 4100mAh battery, a 5.5-inch 1080p display, a Snapdragon 801 processor, and more. You can know more about the phone in the ZUK Z1 review.

The launch is expected to take place soon, so if you’re in India and want to know about about the device, keep watching this space!

A lot of Indians, including me,dont think so.No harm is releasing Zuk Z2 also at equal price+custom duties, why this bad treatment?

relatively speaking, i didnt say it is bad treatment, i said its good treatment, i live in jamaica every single brand phone i want old or new i have to ship them and the taxes in my country is HIGH, because indias population is so high lots of oems build factories or whatever there so some of you can just walk to buy a phone and not pay 2 times its price

not to mention you guys have your own exclusive smartphone releases and even national oems of course not everyone in india will reap from the benefit but compared to other countries, you see you worry about releasing the zuk 2, there is NO release of any ZUK or any other phone in my country AT ALLL!!

Well,if you guys dont get new phones at all, then i agree we are relatively better off than you…but still then would love fair treatment for India..considering mkt of atleast 100 million(considering 10% of 1 bn+ population)

Because Lenovo is a well-known company by now and Zuk is a little known name. So it will be sold easily. Marketing strategy.

Won’t sell. Pointless exercise in futility. Unless of course, they’re dumping leftovers from their Chinese inventories and don’t have ambitious sales targets…..
