Oukitel K4000 gets an UI overhaul

Oukitel is certainly taking good care even with the older models and frequent updates are a common thing. So it’s no surprise the Oukitel K4000 gets a pretty significant update, but the complete UI overhaul that comes with it could be somehow hard to stomach for some users.

The new UI is hailed as “concise” version by the creators and for sure offers way bigger fonts and app icons than the previous iterations or the stock Android. But isn’t it maybe too big and slightly childish ? Time will tell how the users will react about the change and what’s worth mentioning is the fact that the already big UI has one more possible setting making it even bigger….

Gizchina News of the week

Only the Oukitel K4000 sold in June and onwards are getting this UI built-in from the scratch, the rest will have to wait for the OTA actualization coming in one or two months. The K4000 will be also freshly available in gold color version and to celebrate the new UI Oukitel will hold a flash sale cooperating with resellers Gearbest and Tinydeal. Exact pricing is yet to be revealed, but some significant chunk will be surely cut from the $99 retail price.

Poor imitation of Smartisan OS, AOSP look would be better

That’s lifting a whole page out of Smartisan book. Very cheeky
