Elephone releases software updates for three of their devices

Looks like the Elephone is going through hectic phase just before the summer holidays and releasing the software updates left and right. Maybe they are trying to improve their reputation after the several latest controversies in that department.

So which Elephone device can look forward to the updates? First of all it’s the action cam Explorer Pro getting gyroscope and video output optimalizations and you can check in the following video how it looks once updated.

Next in line is the Elephone P9000 updated with the handful of tweaks including battery perfromance, camera, fingerprint scanner and fixes some issues with the 4G reception and Wi-Fi stability. It’s going to be available via OTA soonish, but for the eager ones you can already download it manually here.

Gizchina News of the week

Last but not least is the older Elephone P6000 getting a CM 12.1 update and you can download this alternative ROM here.

“the older Elephone P6000” is a little misleading… Whilst it’s older than the P9000, the intended device there is actually the P6000 Pro, so to me and others in the know “the older Elephone P6000” is the original P6000 that’s obviously NOT getting the official (from Elephone) CM12.1 support…

Damnit, why they only make updates for the P6000 Pro and not the regular P6000…

Maybe they are crazy and greedy and think you will fork out money their way again.

I never ever again buy from those not proven unknown china brands as their build quality are normally horrible. based on past experiences with blueboo, blackview, No1, etc. All cannot last for 1 year average. Either died or start to develop hardware problems.

Lesson learned the hard way so now i am a bit smarter LOL.
I know their price is cheap but if i can only use for 6 months then actually i waste money.

Just ordered 2 units Redmi note 3 pro prime (3GB + 32 GB) from eternal team (allieepxress). Price already go down to a reasonable one ($182.99 include EMS shipping).

Actually i prefer to buy local but been waiting like forever for official Mi SG online shop to replenish their stock. But it seems Xiaomi never care to support their oversea buyers. So i gave up waiting and order directly from china.

Agreed. Better to buy from an established brand.
