The unthinkable is almost upon us and after almost a year of delays and posturing the extravagant Doogee T3 is finally going into the presale period. All the specs have been already revealed before so no surprises there, but the really good news comes with the announced prices. For the hyped “luxury” device the $r199.99 sounds prettyreasonable, at least from the manufacturer point of view.
So what’s so special about the Doogee T3 again ? Well the big deal is the 0,96-inch secondary upper edge located display showing mainly the notifications, time, called ID, missed calls or messages and quite suprisingly also the pedometer and calory counter data.
The chassis is made from the the Liquid metal, which is a titanium alloy used in aviation or swiss watch making. The whole build is focusing on symmetry and for the touch of luxury there is the real calfskin on the back cover. We can also find a user customizable Smart Key on the body and Doogee is pretty much banking also on the extra security features thanks to the DG Security.
Main camera will be 13 Mpix OV shooter with PDAF and f/2.2 aperture. Focus will be ultra fast with speed up to 0.17s. Selfie front cam is a bit more modest but still powerful on paper with 8 Mpix resolution, 88 degree angle of shooting and various modes including beautification, smile detection, V-gesture and Smart key.
The whole miracle is powered by the underwhelming octa-core MT6753 processor with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage so that will be probably the weak point of the device. Pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow sounds about right so no complaint on that front.
