It’s no secret that Xiaomi are preparing a new flagship smartphone and that it may feature a dual camera design, but just what device it is remains a mystery.
There is plenty of chatter in China about a new Xiaomi Mi5S, basically a souped up version of the current Xiaomi Mi5, and of a Xiaomi Mi Note 2. Along with rumours of these two phones there is talk of curved Samsung displays and even dual camera designs.
A new leak this morning reveals a phone featuring the Xiaomi Mi5/Mi Note’s 3D curved design along with 2 rear camera sensors and dual tone LED flash.
The render also shows us the front corner of the phone and from the metal chassis (which follows the curve of the rear panel) we can guess that this will either be an updated Xiaomi Mi5 or a new Mi Note 2 with new metal chassis design.
Rumours for the new phones also include a hidden fingerprint scanner (a big hope for us as the current Mi5 solution isn’t the prettiest) Snapdragon 820 chipset, 6GB RAM and the option of a 2K display (on the Mi Note 2 at least).
Xiaomi are expected to release these two phones later in the summer and we expect more leaks, rumours and teasers to come in time.
