Ulefone Metal will support the floating window video playback

The full metal body Ulefone Metal is the latest phone coming from the Ulefone laboratories and the company is expecting to score some significant success with it in the midrange market segment. Well fortune favors the bold, but looking at the slightly dated specs it will be a tough battle.

Ulefone Metal is powered by the octa-core MT6753 processor, GPU Mali-T720, 3 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage. Display is a 5-inch one with HD resolution and the main camera is a 8 Mpix shooter with Sony IMX149 sensor and five lenses intepolated to 13 Mpix. The built-in camera app should be able to offer full manual controls over the exposure, ISO or white balance.

The fingerprint scanner is going to be able to register up to 5 different fingerprints and each one of those could be used to unlock some user defined apps. Battery will have 3050 mAh capacity and the OS will be the Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

But Ulefone plan to add even some extra software functions to the phone like the “floating window” one allowing you some sort of a multitasking in different windows. So you should be able to pararelly watch a video, keep an eye on your emails or do something else entirely. Sounds interesting, let’s see the practical implementation and usage.

The price of Ulefone Metal is still shrouded in mystery, but you can take a wild guess in their guessing competition and maybe even win the Metal for free.
