Elephone P20 will be in a good company with 6 GB RAM

Elephone will try their best to get their upcoming P20 model in the good company of high end devices and to achieve that they will equip it with 6 GB of RAM. Of course more RAM the merrier, because higher capacity always allows for more shenanigans. smoother user experience, better multitasking and overall sheer performance for the likes of 4K video or demanding gaming.

Gizchina News of the week

Of course the RAM is not the deciding factor for that and the responsibility also rests a lot on the shoulders of the processor. Within the Elephone P20 we will find the Helio P20 so at least the names are in sync and Elephone promises top notch performance for it.

If they manage to come though on all their promises including 5,5-inch FullHD resolution display, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and mainly the 12 Mpix main camera with f/1.7 aperture, then we can have quite a capable phone on our hands. But when that is going to be exactly and for how much is a completely different question.

It’s named p20, it uses p20, and to stay truth to its name it’s going to be released in 2020… Coherence is the first thing for elephone!

In an interview a few days MTK said P20 goes into production in Nov but maybe something got lost in the translation or we’ll only see phones in the spring.Either way it’s either late this this year or 3-4 months later.

We already knew that the p20 will go under production during the end of the year, the thing here is elephone teasing a device at least 6 months before the moment it’s going to be shipped…

Not really,we knew it should ship some this year but we also know that sooner is better as others have 14/16nm products already so MTK would try to rush it if possible.
We’ll see, there might be more info next week.

The SoC only supports up to 4GB DDR3.For 6GB they need DDR4 , remains to be seen if it hey use LPDDR4 or LPDDR4X.

Let them not forget to place an 1800mAh battery in it! Or even a smaller one …

What Elephone can’t seem to understand it it’s not just about the specs, it’s about the aftersales support. And right now Elephone releases a new “flagship” every 3 months and abandons the one before it.
