Rugged Homtom HT20 presale offers

We have mentioned the upcoming new Homtom device already few weeks ago, but even though we already knew all the specifications and the design of the new Homtom HT20 price and the actual release date was shrouded in mystery. Well not anymore. Today’s news put the Homtom HT20 already on the map of presales and the price is not looking bad for an outdoor smartphone, $129.99.

So let’s take a quick look at this phone again to see if the alleged “bussiness design phone with outdoor features” can live up to the expectations. For starters the rugged talk isn’t just for show, the phone has the IP68 certification meaning its water, dust and humidity resistant to a fairly high degree. The construction apparently uses some vacuum technology making the phone sturdy and the Homtom HT20 should be also fall and bump resistant thanks to the military grade materials.

Gizchina News of the week

It has a 4,7-inch display with HD resolution, quad-core MT6737 processor clocked at 1,3 GHz and of course fully supporting the 4G networks, 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage, 3500 mAh battery capacity, 13 Mpix main camera, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and fingerpint scanner. From the outdoor functions let’s point out for example optimized GPS module and strong built-in lantern function. The specs are overally fairly budget, but keep in mind with rugged smartphone you are rarely going for the performance.

Homtom HT20 is currently available in presales for example here for the price of $129.99 and could pose some serious competition for the popular Blackview rugged devices.

Interresting. But I’d like to see the exact frequencies supported. (I’m in france, our carriers use some specifc bands not used often.)

Don`t see how a 3500mAh battery(which knowing Doogee is probably 2800)will last you long in the woods 🙂
Should have been a 5000mAh at least.
