OnePlus 2 will benefit from VoLTE soon

While it might looks like al of OnePlus’ attention has moved to the OP3, the company are still planning major updates to their previous flagship.

The OnePlus 3 was launched earlier than expected after the company failed to meet sales expectations for the OP2. The OnePlus 2, while being a very good device and extremely well made, suffered for it’s looks, yet many people are still happily using the phone.

So it’s good to hear that OnePlus are still supporting the phone and even promising major updates for it.

In it’s current guise the OnePlus 2 doesn’t support VoLTE but an updates coming later this year will see that feature come to the phone;

In line with rolling out new products, services and features for the holiday season, we have one more good news to share with our fans, and that is about VoLTE support on our flagship devices. We’ve been keeping a close eye on forum discussions and noted the requests to enable VoLTE (Voice over LTE) or HD calling support on OnePlus smartphones.

Dates haven’t been narrowed down, but expect the update to come at around Christmas time.
