Oppo are set to launch the world’s best camera phone!

oppo r9s

We’ve already heard about the impressive camera hardware on the Oppo R9S but what about the looks of the phone and the other hardware? New leaks tells all.

In 4 days time Oppo will unveil two new smartphones, yes 2! We were already waiting for the R9S which Oppo had confirmed with recent invitations, but new posters now also reveal that a larger ‘plus’ model will also be available.

It’s not at all surprising that the new R9S design resembles the most recent Oppo phone designs and features a very familiar looking CNC chassis, white front panel and oval home/button fingerprint scanner.

From the leaked posters and advertising material we can see that both the R9S and R9S plus will be available in gold or pink colour options and both phones will get the same Snapdragon 653 chipset (4 x A73 + 4 x A553) clocked at 2.0Ghz and an Adreno 515 GPU.

Screen sizes will come in either 5.5-inch or 6-inch options both with 1920 x 1080 resolution panel with memory of up to 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. The real icing on the cake though is Oppo’s new Sony-sourced 16 mega-pixel IMX398 cameras with new dual focus processing and OIS features!

Watch out for more details and the launch in the coming days!

          4k 30fps and 1080p 120fps. I think thats what both SD652 and SD820/821 supports.
          Not sure though.

Careful what u read into it, not saying I would buy it as we don’t know the final spec, price etc. Also I think it has more to do with the fact that the competition in the phablet market is so bad that a mid range oppo handset seems appealing. Keeping an eye out for a decent phone is driving me mad!

That’s the reason I discounted it, a bit too expensive for me. Cheaper on Ali though as Liaow is very overpriced on everything!

Well it seems like this is actually the S7 camera with some added pixels, doesn’t it?
Same aperture, same focusing technology, etc.
