Presale period for the new Elephone S7 is almost over and so far it has been a major success for the chinese manufacturer. With the presale order number climbing up to almost 110.000 it’s safe to say they have a winner in making.
The cheapest and apparently most desirable 2 GB RAM + 16 GB ROM version sold out completely already, with the low $139.99 price tag it just vanished instantly. But the customers can still preorder the 3/32 GB and 4/64 GB versions, because all presale customers will enjoy preferential shipping privileges. Not to mention they can participate in lucky draw event and win some free phones including Elephone P6000, P6000 Pro, M2, Q or some other prizes including an order for free.

Elephone S7’s success can be attibuted to appealing looks with bezel-less 3D radian display or lumia wave design on the back, combined with powerful Helio X20 processor and Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Okay fine, but still there is no clearance of when they are exactly going to ship these devices, no exact date has been mentioned anywhere.
Elephone has so many devices on the “coming soon” list, it’s hard to keep track.
I think i will wait until i see an full test review and until next batch comes, since i do not need any prototype that full of bugs and issue
My suggestion for people who want to get s7 is to get it before the pre sale event ends, because later, after it ends, the price will be way higher… So better getting it cheaper and faster haha
About shipments, I read in their Italian facebook page, which will begin in the first days of December, anyhow it depends by the seller where we purchased. Let’s see who will be the most lucky to have it first!
I saw at aliexpress that the shipping will start after 25th of November but there is no official announcement form Elephone officials.
110000 pieces are so many for a Chinese phone, I hope they have the time to send them all in the short term. Possible if they were not expecting these numbers, there may be delays in shipment.
The sales skyrocketed and it’s even hard to believe that so many units had been sold so far, if so many people buy this phone, it must be quite well, else nobody would buy it.. 🙂
What about R9, isn’t the presale for R9 ending soon too? R9 interests me more so i want to know more about its presale, hopefully i manage to get it before the presale ends!
