Good old Elephone P9000 on sale for $179.99

Elephone P9000 was a great success for the chinese manufacturer and reliable sources are putting the sale numbers at over 500.000 pieces sold. That’s quite a lot for a smaller fish in the pond and all those units combined can for example form a circle around the city of Paris.

Popularity of the Elephone P9000 is based not just on the hardware, but even that is pretty solid. Midrange Helio P10 processor, 4 GB RAM, 32 GB of storage, 5,5-inch FullHD display, 13 Mpix rear camera, fingeprint sensor and Android 6.0 OS are still usable specs for a midrange model even these days.

Gizchina News of the week

But the real benefit comes with the vibrant caring community and plentiful third-party ROMs including Aerom, CM 13 and quite many others. Even the official firmwares are catching up and the test version of Android 7.0 Nougat was released in November. The ROM scene for Elephone P9000 is very much alive and active.

As a sort of a Xmas thank you for the fans Elephone announced a $60 dicount for the model so until December 22nd you can get the Elephone P9000 for just $179.99 on the official website.

P9000 was definitely one of the best phone from the company, it has very nice specification, design and also since so many units had been sold, it has a huge community as well 🙂

P8000 with the latest community Rom is actually better. Better battery, faster (when side by side) and still taking in updates through OTA (from the community).

Too expensive, it’s an Elephone (I.E. no camera), it should be priced like an Elephone. Drop $50 from the price and we maaay have a case.
