OPPO is looking to ride the Christmas wave this year with the launch of a new ‘red’ phone. Before weĀ get too ahead of ourselves, you should know it’s only a new colour variant of an existing phone.
It’s the OPPO R9s that’s getting a red makeover for Christmas. The phone will start shippingĀ 24th of December, i.e., Christmas eve. For now, the device is on pre-order… it’s worth noting it’s only available in China (for now, at least).

The OPPO R9s in red comes with a ‘IĀ am your little power Phone’ logo, and along with that features the autograph (machined) of a popular Chinese star. Everything besides the colour is the same as the existing R9s. This includes the specifications (5.5-inch display, Snapdragon 625 SoC, 4GB RAM, 64GB ROM) and pricing (2799 yuan ($400).
