Word on the street is that the newest Redmi Note series phone, the Redmi Note 4, is on its way to the mighty Indian smartphone market.

The Redmi Note 3 has been Xiaomi's highest selling phone in the country since it's launch earlier this year. Now seems like a really good time to launch the Redmi Note 4... but will that be the case? It does seem so.

January 2017 is when the Redmi Note 4 could launch in India.

The phone has already been on sale in China since a few months. It's arguably the best-built Redmi Note (as it should be), and performs like a beast also. You can find more information about the phone in our review of the Redmi Note 4.

There's no word on pricing, but knowing Xiaomi, they'd be trying to give the phone a price tag as competitive as possible. 9,999 INR for the base version, and 11,999 INR for the top-end variant is what's being touted for now.
