New Huawei Mate 9 update brings security patch and 10x digital zoom

Huawei has just rolled out a brand new update for the Huawei Mate 9, bringing with it the December security patch and a brand new 10x digital zoom feature. The 278MB update will arrive as build version MHA-AL00C00B153, and should be downloaded immediately.

Aside from the prementioned digital zoom feature and security patch, the update also brings a slew of performance updates and fixes to make your Mate 9 more usable. We're not sure how the 10x digital zoom will work, but it sounds interesting to say the least.

If you're a Huawei Mate 9 user, you should be receiving a notification for the update fairly soon. If you haven't however, make sure to head to the updates tab in the setting menu to check if you can download it.
