Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom launched in Malaysia at RM 2,099 ($470)

Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom which was announced in January went on sale in Malaysia today.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom smartphone features two separate 12 megapixel lenses. One of them is a 25mm wide angle lens while the other is a 56mm lens which offers 2.3x optical zoom. Optical Image Stabilisation (OIS) is present and the maximum aperture is set at f/1.7 which boosts low-light performance.

The device is currently available with only one retailer in Malaysia and is priced at RM 2,099 which equates to just over $470.

At just under 8mm thickness, the Zenfone 3 Zoom is in the sweet spot. A RAM/ROM configuration of 4GB/64GB has been offered along with a Full-HD 5.5-inch display. Not bad at all considering the fact that it is powered by a sufficient 5,000 mAh battery. The smartphone also supports reverse charging so it doubles up as a power bank.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom should fit neatly into Malaysia’s smartphone market.
