Cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s ‘srt.phone’ coming out next week

Smartron announced the t.phone last year, a device that failed to create any sort of impact on the market. The Sachin Tendulkar-backed company now all set to announce their second smartphone.

Called the srt.phone (SRT for Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar), the device is all set to go live May 3. Tendulkar is already starting to do a lot of interviews with TV and YouTube channels to build hype around the phone.

Gizchina News of the week

Their last phone, the t.phone, came with a Snapdragon 810 processor, which was a bit of a dud on the market. Smartron should come out stronger this time around, especially considering the way they’re already hyping the srt.phone.

We should know about the full specifications, features and more of the Smartron srt.phone in the coming few days. Worst case, we’ll have to wait until the launch — 3rd May — which isn’t all that far anyway.
