Huawei launched the Huawei MateBook last year, and reception for it was pretty mixed. It was praised for its sleek design and looks, but in terms of performance is was clearly a step behind the competition. This hasn’t deterred the company however as they’re now set to release 3 new notebooks by the end of the month.
The notebooks expected to be are named the MateBook E, MateBook D and MateBook X respectively. The Huawei MateBook E, codenamed Pascal, looks to be a proper successor to the MateBook with a similar tablet configuration. The D and X however are fully fledged notebooks this time around.
Specs for the devices aren’t known yet, though the X is expected to be the top-end model with an Intel i5 processor and 8GB of RAM. The D will probably be the lower-end laptop model, while the E will be a modest upgrade to the original MateBook.
Whether these devices will prove Huawei’s worth in the hybrid and laptop market remains to be seen. What do you think about Huawei’s new trio of devices? Will they suffer the same fate as the original MateBook? Tell us down below.
