Xiaomi Mi Max 2 rumored to launch on May 23


The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 has been th etopic of discussion since quite a while now. Three days ago, the camera samples rumored to be from the Mi Max 2 leaked, confirming the 12MP sensor on the Phone. The latest rumor to pop up is the launch date of the Mi Max 2, speculated as being 23rd May.

There were a few other images leaked that showed the supposed  photos of the Xiaomi Mi Max 2. But there was no confirmation regarding the same. The latest rumor points the date of the launch  as 23rd May with the publicity starting tomorrow.

On the spec front, the Mi Max 2 is rumored to be powered  by a Snapdragon 660 chip coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage with another, standard variant having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There’s rumors that the two variants might differ in the choice of processors, withthe6GB variant sporting the SD 660 whereas the 4GB variant sporting thr SD 626 processor. The display is rumored to be same as its predecessor, 6.44 inch with a 1080p resolution. A 5,000mAh battery might power the Xiaomi Mi Max 2, an upgrade over its predecessor’s  4,850mAh battery. The device will run Android Nougat 7.1.1 on top.

The leaked images from a few days back indicate the presence of a 12MP Sony IMX378 sensor, with a large aperture. The front is said  to sport a 5MP shooter.

There is no indication as to when the Mi Max 2 will be unveiled. An earlier rumor puts the price of the Mi Max 2 anywhere from 1499 Yuan to 1699 Yuan.
