The Moto X4 was rumored to be unveiled on the 30th of June. But a tweet from tipster Andri Yatim states that the Moto E4 Plus will be unveiled on June 30. The Moto X4’s launch might be delayed.
We do not know the reason behind the delay. But a line from the tweet, “Thanks, Qualcomm”, hints towards a manufacturing issue related to the SoC that powers the Moto X4. Reports state that Qualcomm is having problem fulfilling the demand for the Snapdragon 660 chipset, which is rumored to power the X4.
June 30 will be anticlimactic. #MotoE4+ launch and MAYBE a mention of Z2, instead of scheduled X4 launch. Thanks, Qualcomm.

The Moto X4 is rumored to feature a 5.2 inch 1080p screen with Snapdragon 660 under the hood coupled with 4GB RAM. The phone will sport a dual camera setup on the rear and will have IP68 certification.
The Moto E4 Plus is a mid ranger featuring a 5.5 inch 720p display. It is powered by the Snapdragon 427 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB storage options. On the back is a 13MP snapper and on the front a 5MP selfie shooter. The phone is fueled by a 5000mAh battery.
There’s no confirmation as to when we’ll get to see the new phones by Motorola. And since this is a highly vague tip, take it with a pinch of salt. Watch this space more news!
