The Cubot CHEETAH 2 we reviewed some months back is now on promotion over at Gearbest for just $119.99 and, since I’m the person who reviewed it, I can honestly say it’s worth the money. But if you still have any doubts, we can go through some of the phone best selling points!

The Cubot CHEETAH 2 is the company’s first smartphone launched directly into the global market and it packs some hardware features you’d find on higher-end devices while being really affordable.

One of these components is the USB Type-C port at the bottom, which you will hardly find on smartphones around $150 (now $119.99). The 5.5-inch display on this phone is also outstanding, it’s Full HD and thus really crisp, but more importantly it’s super bright, which makes me prefer it over other phones when going outdoors.

The display is also coated in 2.5D and the overall look and feel of the phone is quite premium, albeit on the heavier side. The phone also sports a good performing Samsung 13MP 3L8 rear camera (check photos in the review) and a Sony 8MP IMX219 selfie shooter.

Cubot’s CHEETAH 2 comes with a front-facing fingerprint scanner, an high quality gyroscope and it’s been recently updated to Android 7.0 Nougat, which appears to be running smoothly.

FYI, 2.5D glass is NOT a coating, it’s a shaping process. As for specs, I don’t know why people get all excited about USB C ports, what’s more important is the evolution (2.0, 3.0, 3.1?) which dictates the speed of the port.

Try to put your phone on the charger in low light or in the dark 🙂 I’m sure the use of USB C will come to you straight away haha
