Sony ready to launch new bezel-less models next year!

It was about time Sony! Don’t mind us, you’re just one of the last companies that still releases these bezel-monsters, paying no attention to what your fans ask.

Finally, theĀ Managing Director of Sony India, Kenichiro Hibi, confirmed recently that his company is planning to launch next-gen Xperia phones, mentioning that:

Gizchina News of the week

ā€œyou can expect a completely new design from the devicesā€.

In other words, forget about this OmniBalance nonsense and prepare for truly bezel-less models. It’s worth mentioning also that the company will still focus on mid-range to high end devices with premium features, but they will save some budget variants for markets such as India’s etc.

We expect their new models to be officially unveiled early 2018, during MWC 2018 in Barcelona or a few days prior to this.

ye… dunno if it’s good news or not. “Fans” of Sony aren’t asking it. I like my Sony because I know the screen won’t break as easily as my brother’s samsung non sense screen. Infinity screen don’t bring any advantages on daily use. Just a fad, and one reducing the sturdiness of a phone. As is the use of metal instead of plastic. Only retards believe that alloy will absorb shocks better than plastic… Sad evolution. Giving up intelligence for a fad. Sony should keep the same design, and start to work on the camera treatment software as well as starting to introduce real size batteries. That’s more important for a nomad device, rather than a stupid bezel less retarded design.

I agree with you about the cameras, But a bezelless phone is just cool. I really didn’t want the bezel to get bigger from the z5c to the xc. It’s about as big as the Samsung S8! I think the compacts would profit from this.
