Meizu And Blue Charm Split Widens

LiNan’s MeiLan Plans To Launch New Website in another sign that the company is splitting from Meizu.

The Meilan, or Blue Charm as it translates, the range of Meizu phones has been a solid source of sale for Meizu. Despite less than exciting specifications and small yearly upgrades, the phones do offer users the Meizu experience and Flyme OS as an easy to afford prices.

Earlier this year though it was reveled that Meilan would be run independently from Meizu with Meizu’s Li Nan heading up the budget phone brand. The news instantly sparked speculation of internal rifts at the company, something that isn’t all that uncommon at Meizu.

Gizchina News of the week

Further details revealed today that Li Nan hopes to further distance his brand from Meizu by opening a separate website for his brand promoting only Blue Charm phones and products.

It’s not clear if this website will also signal a further split between the two brands, we also wonder if the Blue Charm website will be international or not and if the Blue Charm phones will continue to run Flyme OS in the future or something else?
