Announced back at MWC 2017, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium is the first commercial phone to ship with octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. It was first made available in Luminous Chrome and Deepsea Black color options, but now, Sony Japan has added a new red color variant to the mix.

The red color variant is only available in Sony’s Home country Japan and it is expected to go on sale exclusively on NTT Docomo Japan from October, with no words yet for international availability.

Aside from the variation in colors, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium red variant is largely the same in terms of designs and specs as the other color variants.

In terms of specifications, the Xperia XZ Premium sports a 5.5-inch 4K HDR display and is powered by the Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal memory, expandable up to 128GB with the microSD card.
