Apple reportedly working on iPhone SE 2, to launch in first half of 2018

While it is already being speculated that Apple is preparing not one or two, but 3 new smartphones based on the design of the innovative iPhone X, fresh reports now suggest that the company could be releasing a refresh of the iPhone SE later in 2018. Dubbed the iPhone SE 2, Apple may be preparing the device to take on the Galaxy S9 ‘Mini’ which is alleged to be Samsung’s third offering in 2018.

The second generation iPhone SE  is expected to retain most of last year’s iPhone 7 specs & features, but with a compact size display. Should the iPhone SE 2 become a reality, it should come with same display as the original iPhone SE – a 4-inch display with touch ID sensor, as well as Apple A10 chipset and, will be made available in 32GB and 128GB storage options.

The device according to reports will retain the look of the iPhone SE, will boot iOS 11 out of the box, while a 1700mAh battery will keep it on.
