We’re just in the first day of 2017’s last month and the manufacturers doesn’t seems to be taking a break. We already know that some brands like Huawei have events scheduled for December, and apparently Oppo is also preparing something for us.

A new Oppo smartphone was just spotted in the Chinese regulatory department of TENAA. The smartphone appears described as Oppo A83 and pack some nice specs.

The handset is powered by an 2.5Ghz octa-core processor, maybe the Helio P25 or the newest Helio P30. Furthermore the Oppo A83’s processing power comes paired with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

Camera wise the Oppo A83 keeps a simple profile with a single 13MP main rear camera and a 8MP front-facing snapper. All those specs come beneath a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440x720p) display, so that will be another 18:9 phone from the BBK owned company.

Android Nougat 7.1.1 will come running out the box in the form of ColorOS 3.2. Additionally the device carries a 3,090mAh battery and measures 150.5 x 73.1 x 7.7mm while weighs at only 143g.

There is no info about when Oppo is planning to unveil this device. But considering the specs package, we are wondering that this will be a Redmi 5 Plus competitor, so we expect more details to appear very soon.
