OPPO F5 Youth Edition

A few days back the OPPO F5 Youth Edition was launched in the Philippines. As the name suggests, this phone has been designed for people with active lifestyle … and with low incomes. Almost all manufacturers have the slightly lightened variants of their flagships. Say, the Huawei Nova series phones are the imitation of high-end Mate and P line models. The Xiaomi Redmi devices bring the trendiest features found on high-end Mi line smartphones to larger masses. So OPPO does it via the F line smartphones. Today the OPPO F5 Youth Edition was officially announced in India.

The OPPO F5 Youth Edition is a selfie-centric smartphone with a 6-inch Full HD+ full-screen with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The display is also covered with a 2.5D arc glass for better grips and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 to protect it from minor scratches. Under the hood, we can find a MediaTek Helio P23 octa-core chip clocked at 2.5GHz and running on 16nm process node. It is paired with an ARM Mali G71 MP2 GPU clocked at 770MHz, 3GB RAM, and 32GB of internal storage, which can be expanded up to 256GB via micro SD card slot.

The rest of features of the OPPO F5 Youth Edition include a 13MP rear camera with a LED flash and aperture of f/2.2, a 16MP front shooter with an aperture of f/2.0, AI beautify technology that scans 200 facial features to provide better selfies as well as a bokeh effect along with face unlock. The fingerprint scanner is placed on the back because of the full-screen design. At last, it is packed with a 3200mAh battery and runs on Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1.

This amazing device comes in black and gold and costs Rs. 16,990 ($263).

Back in 2010, he was dismissed from his position as a lecturer at the university. This made him get another job at his friend’s digital marketing company as a blog writer. After a few years, when he was thinking the article writing is his mission, Google pushed the Panda update and affected the company and websites he was working at. (Un)fortunately and surprisingly, he got an offer to head a large knitting factory. In 2016, he got his Ph.D. and resumed teaching at the University … and writing tech-related articles following his passion.
