Android Oreo test build for the US Galaxy Note 8 leaks from nowhere


We’ve been hearing a lot about the Galaxy S8 Oreo beta tests. But the same can’t be said about the Galaxy Note 8. Samsung is in advanced stages of beta testing with the Galaxy S8 duo although there have been bumps along the way. Now it seems a rogue user on Reddit has procured an unstable build of Oreo for the Galaxy Note 8. The build has been put up for all who can use and try out the new firmware.

Galaxy Note 8 Oreo leakBut it is worth pointing out that this build is specifically for the unlocked Galaxy Note 8 units on Verizon. This also means that Exynos variants are out of luck as the US has Snapdragon 835 models. Furthermore, Galaxy Note 8 users will have to be on firmware version N950USQS2BQK2 i.e. the latest official build for this leaked build to work.

If you already have adequate experience with flashing such test builds, then you may proceed with due caution. You should look around the Reddit thread as there are some instruction guides that can be helpful. If, however, these are uncharted waters for you, it is best you skip this.
