Meizu Manages a 50 percent Year-To-Year Growth in 2017


Although the total numbers of smartphone shipping decreased during the Q4 with reports of even Huawei, Oppo and Vivo reducing their total orders numbers, Meizu managed to achieve a 50 percent growth (year-to-year) in a Global Scale.

According to Meizu’s Head of Global Market Ard Boudeling, this increase is justified by the company investments and performance overseas, while the company sales inside their homeland were lower than expect the Chinese Blue Charm mother performed well worldwide.

Mr. Boudeling also states that this results only serves as stimulus for the company keep the good performance. The Global Market chief mentions that the company is already in talk with “a number of potential partners” that will allow the company to keep expansion in 2018.

To keep the profit the company is already preparing a new set of smartphones to agitate the competition, one being the rumored bezel-less Meizu M15 Plus which appeared in a plenty of leaks recently. The handset will come to compete directly with the likes of Redmi 5 Plus and Oppo R11s, both devices were released for the mid-range class and sports a Full Screen display. Another handset expected to debut soon is the Meizu M6s which made an apparition today through a leaked video.

We are excited to see what the future will brings for Meizu, and it’s actually good to see the company performing well after a quieter than usual year.
