Following the release of the stable Android Oreo update for the OnePlus 5 earlier in the week, OnePlus 5T users can now expect to have a taste of Android 8.0 Oreo soon, as the company just announced the rollout of Beta Android Oreo update for OnePlus 5T.

The announcement emanated from the OnePlus Germany twitter handle, but we are yet to have any record of Oneplus 5T user confirm the release of the Android Oreo Open Beta builds for OnePlus 5T, and it also yet to be uploaded to the OnePlus 5T ROM Downloads page.

While we are yet to get the official changelog, we do know that the Android 8.0 Oreo update will bring the basic Oreo features including the Picture-in-picture mode, AutoFill, Notification dots, Instant apps, faster boot times and many more.

Earlier in the Month, OnePlus CEO, Pete Lau (Liu Zuohu), in Chinese OnePlus forums, revealed that the Oneplus 5T will soon get the virtual navigation keys replaced with gestures stressing that many users had requested to get them replaced by gestures. Pete Lau said that the feature is in the works and a future update will see it arrive. What remains to be seen is whether or not the new update will come with the much-needed iPhone-X like gestures.
