HTC U11 EYEs has been unveiled today in Taiwan. It is the latest in the series of the U11 smartphones. The U11 EYEs is pegged to be a mid-range phone but is priced at a price way more than that.
The U11 EYEs features a design similar to the previous U11 devices except for the absence of the home button. Instead, the front is flush with a full-screen display. The fingerprint scanner sits on the glass back below the camera setup. The dual camera setup on the front sits right next to the earpiece on the top. The phone has a USB Type-C port flanked by the microphone and the speaker and no 3.5mm jack. It is available in three colors, Red, Silver, and Black.
The U11 EYEs features a 5.99-inch display with an 18:9 aspect ratio. Under the hood lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM expandable via microSD card. True to its name, the phone sports a dual 5MP+5MP camera setup on the front. On the back lies a 12MP f/1.7 Ultrapixel 3 camera with dual LED flash, PDAF with support for 4K video. The U11 EYEs will be powered by a 3930mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0. The EYEs will come with IP67 certification, which is a cherry on the cake.
Pricing and Availability
The U11 EYEs is priced at 3299 Yuan($512) in China and pre-orders will start from today, with the shipments happening from the 25th of this month.
