Camera-centric Coolpad Note 6 launched in India

Coolpadhas today expanded its Note series of smartphones with the addition of the CoolPad Note 6 – the successor to the Coolpad Note 5 announced back in 2016. The India-exclusive Coolpad Note 6 is been touted as the first camera-centric phone from the brand, boasting of a dual front-facing camera setup that consists of an 8-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor, paired with a 120-degree, wide-angle lens.

Available in Gold and Grey color options, the CoolPad Note 6 measures 153.7×76.4×8.62mm, with a Weight: 170g and comes fitted with a 5.5-inch 1080p 2.5D curved glass display. It adopts the traditional aspect ratio with chunks of bezels on both sides. A dual front facing camera with LED flash sits above the display, while the bottom bezel is home to the fingerprint sensor which doubles as the home button.

Under the hood, the coolpad Note 6 uses an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435 SoC with a clock speed of 1.4GHz, coupled with Adreno 505 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device comes in 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage options, and are both expandable up to 128GB using a microSD card. The device, unfortunately, boots Android 7.1 (Nougat) out of the box, with no words on possible future Oreo update.

Other specs include a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS/ A-GPS, a Micro-USB port, a dedicated dual SIM slot, microSD slot and a 4070mAh battery that promises 350 hours standby time.

The device is immediately available to buy from offline stores at 300+ multi-brand stores across 8 states including; Delhi NCR, Haryana, Telangana, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra starting today. The 4GB RAM + 64GB storage variant goes for Rs. 9,999, while the 3GB+32GB variants will sell for Rs. 8,999.
