Nokia X6

The Nokia X6, which is all set to be unveiled two days from now, has been listed on Suning.com for ¥1499 (~$237). There have been reports that Nokia’s next phone will be called Nokia X but according to multiple reports, and Suning.com, the phone will go by the name, Nokia X6.

The X6 will be Nokia’s first phone to feature a notch above the display and a 19:9 aspect ratio. The X6 is listed as having 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard storage. Reservations are all set to begin on May 15 at 3:30 PM in China. The phone will be unveiled on the 16th of May, a day before the OnePlus 6 and will officially go on sale starting May 21. The listing reveals a black coloured variant. There is no report regarding any other colour variants of the X6.

The X6 is reported to sport a 5.8-inch FHD+ (2280 x 1080p) resolution with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The TENAA listing reveals 3GB and 4GB variants although there has been no sign of the 3GB variant anywhere. The camera setup is also in the dark although rumours suggest a setup similar to the Nokia 7 Plus. The front camera is reported to be a 16MP snapper. A 3000mAh battery will power the X6 and it might be an Android One device.

Judging from the specs and reports, the X6 will probably sit between the Nokia 6 and Nokia 7 Plus. It bears resemblance to the Nokia 7 in terms of some specs, although the similarities end there. The 7 Plus is a slightly powerful device as compared to the X6 thanks to the Snapdragon 660 that powers it. Whether the Nokia X6 will make a splash or a ripple on the market will be revealed once it hits reaches the consumers. Once again, the X6 will be unveiled in two days on May 16. Stay tuned!
