Today, two of Xiaomi’s loved devices went on sale. While the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE is on its second batch of sales, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 was launch only three days ago and this is its first sales. These smartphones are available on Xiaomi Mall and Jingdong Mall. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 3+32GB variant sells for 799 Yuan ($125) while the 4+64GB version goes for 999 Yuan ($156). The Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, on the other hand, has a 1799 Yuan ($281) price tag for the 4GB+64GB variant while the 6GB+64GB will be 1999 Yuan ($312). However, for the Xiaomi Mi 8 SE, information on Xiaomi Mall and Xiaomi Youpin suggests that potential buyers will have to wait till 18th of June for the next purchase because it has already been sold out. It appears that these stores (Mi Mall & Xiaomi Youpin) ships only within China so global users will have to depend on other online stores for purchase. For those who have contacts in China and wish to buy this device at the launch price, it is advisable to make a reservation now because, on the official sales day, it will only be available for a few minutes if not seconds. If you need to purchase any of these smartphones, we have provided some links at the end of this post.

The Xiaomi Redmi 6 is equipped with a 5.45 inches 18:9 HD full screen with an 80.5% screen-to-body ratio. This octa-core chip in comparison to the 28nm process chips reduces the power consumption by 48%. The Helio P22 uses an architecture of 4 x A53 cores @ 2.0GHz + 4 x A53 cores @ 1.5GHz. Compared to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430, the Helio P22 has achieved a 27% performance increase. In the camera department, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 sports a 12Mp + 5MP dual-camera, the main sensor of which has a 1.25-um unit pixel size.
