LG working on its first Android One phone, could end up as US exclusive

A few smartphone manufacturers have adopted the Android One program. Currently, LG is not one of them, but it could soon join the likes of HTC and Motorola. This was found in the source code of the yet unreleased LG Stylo 4 heading to the US. Surprisingly, source codes generally are released after phones launch, but in this case, that is not the situation. The LG Stylo 4, otherwise known as the LG Q Stylus will be available on MetroPCS.

The source code revealed that the handset will run an anonymous 1.8GHz octa-core processor which could potentially be the Snapdragon 450. If you’ll notice the word “sprout” in the image, it usually is associated with Android One device. The unnamed LG phone will probably arrive on T-Mobile.

Furthermore, there Hi-Fi DAC support on this mystery phone like there is on the LG V30, and it doesn’t have a fingerprint sensor and will come with a 5.5-inch display and FHD+ (1080×2160) 18:9 LCD resolution. There’s a 3,000mAh battery inside according to findings and USB Type-C support on the handset. The handset will run Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box and feature some sort of waterproofing as well.

Currently, this is all we know about the unreleased device but we do hope to know more soon as other evidence emerges eventually.
