Alleged Huawei Mate 20 Leaked

Looks like the Huawei Mate 20 is not far from launch. Earlier today, an image of the alleged Mate 20 made an appearance which is strikingly similar to a previous leak. It corroborates perfectly with a schematic that had leaked earlier this week.

The image throws light upon the front of the smartphone which is quite bezel-less with there being hardly any bezels on the chin and the top. Note that it is devoid of any notch, unlike the P20 series that were unveiled in April. The phone bears a striking resemblance to earlier Mate series smartphones; tall, wide and very little bezels. This time around, it seems like Huawei is opting for zero bezels on the side. The top bezel is filled with a bunch of sensors and what looks like a dual camera setup. But, it might be an array of sensors for facial unlock which seems to have caught up on the tech and has become somewhat the staple in smartphones nowadays.

Gizchina News of the week

Huwaei had earlier disclosed in the Shanghai CESA that the Mate 20 will be released in October. July has not even started and the leaks are already here. Judging from the frequency and similarities of the leaks reported so far, we are pretty sure that a few other reports are in tow.

Great looking. No need for a “full screen” design. And the leak seems to be legit since it kinda resembles the leaked patent design for 0 side bezel phones.

Huawei will stop providing bootloader unlocking for all new smartphone. So I will say NO to any Huawei devices.

I like Huawei, but I don’t like how they have got rid of the audio jacks and microSD card slots in their flagship Mate 10 Pro and P20 + P20 Pro phones.

This is a deal breaker for me.

I’d also love if they would use metal on the back of the phone again, it is far better than fragile, but shiny glass.
