Samsung Galaxy X to Feature a 7-inch Display, Smart Speaker Launching with Note 9

Rumours have been rife that Samsung has been working on a fold-able smartphone slated for a 2019 release. An unnamed source corroborated the rumour and added that the codename of the phone is “Winner” aka the Samsung Galaxy X. This was reported in the Wall Street Journal.

The phone when folded will have a small display up front and camera on the back. this is similar to the Samsung patent that was recently published. The Galaxy X or Winner will apparently sport a fold-able 7-inch screen with barely any bezels. When opened fully, the phone can be used as a tablet and the complete device can be folded like a wallet. It’s not just Samsung that is looking into making fold-able smartphones. Many other manufacturers have had patents filed for different designs. Rumours say that the Samsung Galaxy X will be first showcased at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2019 followed by mass production in the 2nd half of 2019.
