Nokia 6.1 Plus Released in Hong Kong $290

Nokia 6.1 Plus

Since HMD took over the Nokia mobile phone business and announced its return to the smartphone market, several handsets have been released around the world. Among them, the Nokia X6 sporting a Snapdragon 636 chip was launched in China in May this year. We recall this phone because it was priced quite affordable at 1299 yuan ($191). This phone received the favor of the majority of Chinese consumers due to its price-over-hardware ratio. According to PhoneArena, HMD has officially released the international version of the Nokia X6, namely, the Nokia 6.1 Plus in Hong Kong on July 19.

In terms of appearance, the Nokia 6.1 Plus doesn’t differ much from the Nokia X6 version. On the front and the back, it uses a double-sided glass design. The phone sports a 5.8-inch full-screen with a 19:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 2280 x 1080. As you can see, it has bangs on the upper side. Under the hood, the Nokia 6.1 Plus is packed with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus also comes with a 16MP + 5MP dual-camera on the back. It supports background blur portrait mode. At the same time, the front camera has a 16MP resolution and supports AI scene recognition and beauty. What’s more attractive, it supports Nokia’s Bothie technology. If not aware, due to this technology the front and back cameras can take photos simultaneously.

Unlike the Nokia X6, the international version, the Nokia 6.1 Plus only has a 4GB + 64GB version. Although this can be further expanded via a microSD card of up to 400GB. The battery capacity is 3060mAh. And it comes with pre-installed native Android 8.0 system.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus will be available to purchase in Hong Kong starting July 24 for just over $290 and will be offered in both black and white.
