Oppo Realme 2 Listed on Online Before Official Announcement

The successor to the Realme 1, the Oppo Realme 2 was briefly listed on the company’s website and it has since been taken down. But it was enough time to grab a few screenshots, and we have an idea as to how the Realme 2 will look like.

According to GSMArena, the image did not lead to any dedicated product page. There was just one image on the homepage, with the tagline, “A notch above”. Fairly enough the Realme 2 has a notch on the top of the display unlike the Realme 1. Other than that, there are a few major differences that set the Realme 2 apart from its predecessor. The Realme 2 houses a dual camera setup on the back as opposed to the single camera on the Realme 1. The first Realme phone came sans the fingerprint scanner, but the Oppo Realme 2 features a fingerprint scanner on the back. Not to mention that it will likely come with facial recognition too. The two phones are similar when it comes to the texture on the back.

Gizchina News of the week

The Realme 1 was offered at an affordable price tag. It is likely that the Realme 2 will also be competitively priced. We expect it to be priced under $250. There is no word on the official release date, but since the page went live, it’ll probably happen in the coming weeks.
