Pocophone, a new sub-brand of Xiaomi earlier today announced the oft-rumored Pocophone F1 in India. The Pocophone F1 is initially launching in India, which is unarguably Xiaomi’s largest market outside of China but would be heading to over 50 other countries in the following days. In fact, the company will be holding separate launch events in France, Indonesia, and Hong Kong on August 27 where it is expected to announce local pricing and roll out plans.

Gizchina News of the week

If you’d like to be one of the first few persons to get hold of the device when it launches outside of India later this month, the PocoPhone F1 is now up for pre-order in the Netherlands from Dutch retailer Belsimpel. The device costs €399 for the Black and Blue 64GB model and €439 for the 128GB models if you pre-order from the retailer. It appears the Pocophone F1 armored Edition with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage won’t be available outside the Indian market, as it is currently not listed on the pre-order page.

Outside of a cheap looking polycarbonate shell, and a less exciting dual rear-facing cameras, the Pocophone F1 offers true flagship grade specs in a package with a price tag that is far below offerings from rivals like the Oneplus 6.
