Meizu 16X reservations commence

All is now set for the official release of the Meizu 16X on September 19. However, the company has decided to start reservations five days before the official launch. The company officially announced today that the Meizu 16X opened an appointment on Meizu Mall, Jingdong Mall, and other major platforms. Meizu 16 and 16 Plus has stocking issues and this has led to delayed delivery by as much as 4 weeks.

Gizchina News of the week

Earlier today, we were informed that this smartphone will use an IMX380 + IMX350 dual camera setup which is a flagship combination. In addition, Huang Zhang, founder of Meizu Technology, revealed that the Meizu 16X supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), and the camera specifications are exactly the same as Meizu 16th. This smartphone will come with a 6.0-inch 18:9 Samsung AMOLED display with a resolution of 2160×1080. The processor will be supported with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage (we may have an 8GB + 128GB version subsequently). The lights of this smartphone will be kept on by a modest 3100 mAh. The batteries of the Meizu 16 series seem to be quite small and this has been a turn off for some buyers.

In summary, the main difference between Meizu 16X and Meizu 16th is the performance and body material. Considering that the  Meizu 16th has a 2698 Yuan ($394) price tag, the Meizu 16X should sell for about 2000-2500 Yuan ($292 – $365).
