Elephone Soldier Rugged Phone Video Teardown

Elephone Soldier

Elephone are a Chinese phone brand renown for their affordable handsets but they still don’t have a name in the rugged smartphone industry. That is set to change though with their latest Elephone Soldier, a device that packs some of the best specs ever seen on a phone of this kind while retaining all the toughness that make a rugged phone durable.

Today, Elephone released a video to show us just that, or better, how the Soldier is made so that we can better understand how it’s made and easy to fix it can be if anything would stop working. You can check out the video below:

The teardown is quite straight forward, the Elephone guy removes the screws that keep the back cover tight and moves on with disassembling the rest of the phone.

Inside the handset we can have a look at the big 5000mAh capacity battery and all the other components, including the MTK Helio X25 CPU, 4GB of RAM and either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage.

The Elephone Soldier also sports the first ever 2K 2540*1440 res display on a rugged phone, with a 16MP shooter above it, on the back we instead find a high resolution 21MP snapper.

Other specs include a physical compass, SOS button, hook-up design, side-fingeprint, Gorilla Glass 3 protect glass, 9V/2A fast charging, 2 SIM cards and, of course, an IP68 rating which makes it waterproof and dustproof.
