As we reported a couple days back in this article, the next Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship CPU for mobile phones is moving away from the 8xx naming scheme and adopting a new name: Qualcomm Snapdragon 8150.
The Snapdragon 8150 is going to be based on the much more power efficient 7nm manufacturing process, which means better battery life for the same performance or so it should.
Speculations about the new 8150 name are today even more credible, due to the Bluetooth 5.0 certification that just popped up online. According to the Bluetooth website listing, a phone brought by Qualcomm Technologies with the model number SM8150 does indeed clear up any of the doubts left.
In older reports, we also learned that the upcoming Snapdragon SoC is also going to pack the latest and fastest 5G technology thanks to the Snapdragon X50 5G modem, which would bring insane internet speeds to the handsets that will adopt it.
