Huawei Mate 20/Pro differences exposed

Yesterday, Huawei suddenly teased the Mate 20X the third variant of Huawei Mate 20 series to come alongside the duo of Mate 20 and 20 Pro devices. It seems that the London conference on October 16th will be a full-fledged event.

The Well-known reporter Roland Quandt shared more details of  the Mate 20 and 20 Pro. From the perspective of the protective cover, the triple camera sensors arrangement is slightly different. The flash of the Mate 20 is in the upper right corner and in in the upper left corner on the Pro version.

Of course, the most obvious difference is the rear mounted fingerprint reader of the Mate 20, while the Pro will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint reader.

If you look closely, there are also important differences. The Mate 20 has a 3.5mm headphone jack on the top and the 20 Pro hasn’t (that’s just a cutout for IR blaster at the top, according to Roland Quandt). It is not difficult to speculate that the IP67 waterproof feature may remain the same as last year’s Mate 10/Pro.

For the camera modules, the Leica cameras have different zoom ranges. the Pro variant support “Monster-level” 5x optical zoom, Mate 20 support only 3x.

From this point of view, considering the Mate 20/Pro screen size (6.5 inches to 6.3 inches), material (LCD to OLED), Huawei is paying more and more attention to product differentiation, and this also means that the price will give users more choices.
