New Xiaomi “flagship” gets 3C certification

Xiaomi MI Mix 3

Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, is expected to unveil a flagship smartphone in the coming weeks. However, the proper nomenclature of this device is still under wraps. A few weeks ago, Xiaomi’s president, Lin Bin, said that the company will release a slide-type design smartphone this month. While many believe that this is the expected Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, we have had salient information on a certain Xiaomi LEX which leaves the speculations in a balance. Now, a new Xiaomi smartphone with model number M1810E5A/E/C/T just got 3C certification. The interesting part of this certification is that the device uses the same charger as Xiaomi Mi 8 (model number MDY-08-ES), which confirms that this smartphone is most likely a mid-to-high end product.

Gizchina News of the week

The biggest highlight of the upcoming Xiaomi slide-type design smartphone is that it has nearly 100% screen ratio. It is like holding a screen on the hand which is outstanding. Xiaomi Technology CEO, Lei Jun, revealed that this new Xiaomi phone uses a slide-type design (like oppo FIND X) and supports an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The advantage of the slide-type design is that the front camera sensor and other components are subtly hidden thus giving room for more screen. Presently, there is no technology that helps manufacturers to hide the camera, earpiece, and other sensors under the screen this the slide-type design is perhaps the only solution for a true bezel-less phone.
