Facebook has promised not to collect any personal data related to WhatsApp. The ads will still depend on the advertising network of the social network. In these conditions, it is feared that Facebook is able to associate a user’s advertising profile on WhatsApp with his Facebook account. In this way, the firm is able to use your preferences, likes and Facebook shares to better target the ads that will be shown on your WhatsApp status.

Last September, Facebook had already announced its intention to monetize WhatsApp by integrating a large solution business, which should allow brands to communicate more easily with consumers. According to Brian Acton, co-founder of WhatsApp, Mark Zuckerberg is in a hurry to make money with WhatsApp.

According to some new reports, Advertisements will therefore invade WhatsApp status from early 2019 warns Lucas Colomob, a Facebook Italy manager. What do you think of this announcement?
