During th closing hours of yesterday’s 11.11 saled, Chinese manufacturing giant, Xiaomi, announced that the comany has made over 4 billion yuan ($575 million) in sales and at the time, it was targeting 4.5 billion yuan ($646 million). Well, it appears that the company underestimated its ability as it closed the day with a 5.2 billion Yuan ($747 million) sales, a new record high for Xiaomi.
Xiaomi also came tops inseveral categories. Its IoT intelligent hardware and consumer goods won a total of 72 categories. On Tmall, Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 was the best smartphone in the 3000-4000 price segment. Xiaomi Mi 8 was the best in the 2000-3000 price segment on Tmall, Jingdong, Suning. Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite also calimed the top position for the 1000-2000 price segment on Tmall and Suning.
At the same time, Xiaomi TV occupied the top spot on Tmall TV category, Jingdong TV category, and Suning TV category. This single product has 42 titles. Xiaomi’s sales were basically driven by smartphones such as Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite. Other desireable products include Xiaomi Mijia air purifier, Xiaomi Mi Band 3, all generations of Xiaomi Vacuum cleaner, Xiaomi travelling suit case and Xiaomi Scooter. A couple of third-party stores had some amazing price tags for the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3, Xiaomi Mi 8 and Xiaomi Mi 8 Pro which took Xiaomi’s 11.11 sales to the roof.
