Google Pixel 3 Lite midrange smartphone spotted in the wild

Since the beginning of this year, we’ve been hearing about a midrange Pixel smartphone scheduled to launch sometime in 2019. Back in October, the company unveiled the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL as the only smartphones for the 2018 season. Today new tidbits and even live pictures have popped out revealing the Pixel 3 Lite handset, leaving no doubt that Google is testing a device for the midrange waters.

As you might expect the Pixel 3 Lite will be an underpowered variant of the duo of Pixel 3 smartphones that are among the best offerings of the giant of searches. Thanks to new leaks published today by XDA, we know some cool information about this brand new midrange device.

Like the regular Pixel 3, the Lite variant will not be part of the “notch army” and instead, it will feature a similar design of the minor variant of the Pixel 3 series. The handset will be powered by the Snapdragon 670 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 32GB of Storage. The camera department will be composed by a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP selfie snapper.

Moreover, the handset will boast a 5.56-inch IPS Display with 2220×1080 pixels of resolution, Android 9 Pie and a 2,915mAh battery runs the show. It packs a 3.5mm headphone jack, but once again Google denies the possibility of expanding the internal storage through the use of a micro SDcard. So, if you’re thinking that you will be able to get more than the 32GB of Internal storage, think twice.

Anyway, we advise to take these new with a pinch or two of salt, after all, there’s no guarantee that this Pixel 3 Lite will reach the market. We wouldn’t be surprised if all these leaks are just a good way that Google found to test if there’ll be any interest for a Pixel of this category.
