Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 surfaces again in leaked photos

The original Asus Zenfone Max Pro M1 was a pretty successful device where it landed, the device in question came to some emerging markets like India and Brazil and achieved a decent slice of sales. Now seems that the company is preparing the second iteration of its “Stock Android Smartphone” in the form of Zenfone Max Pro M2, that is set to be released on December 11.

After having been revealed in a video, Asus Indonesia decided to “officially” tease the smartphone and also confirm the handset for the next month. Now the mid-range smartphone has surfaced in a couple of leaked pictures, that shows the glass rear of the smartphone, the double-camera setup and the notch on the front. While the original handset came with a notchless device, the Taiwanese smartphone maker decided to jump the cutout bandwagon with the new smartphone.

The images aren’t the best and show just a few aspects of the smartphone, but are pretty equal to what we already have seen about the smartphone. The Max Pro M2 is a direct competitor to the recently released Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro, however, seems that Asus will ship its handset will slight better specifications. According to the company, the handset is ready for the next generation of gaming, implying that a more powerful smartphone is equipped in the smartphone, or that a new GPU Turbo feature is coming as well.

While the M1 came with the Snapdragon 636, we suppose that the M2 will come with a more powerful Snapdragon 660, paired with 4GB/6GB of RAM and up to 64GB of Internal Storage. The smartphone should also ship with a stock version of Android 9.0 Pie, that isn’t Android One, but will be enough for those who don’t like Asus ZenUI. Worth noting that the M1 was well received by the overall Android community, and there are plenty of custom ROMs for the smartphone, so if you’re into Android modding getting new Android updates won’t be a problem.

The handset will be equipped with a Dual-Rear camera with a focus in Portrait Mode and HDR, while the front-facing camera will bring a LED flash this time to help with dark environments. The Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 will be unveiled in the next month, with a massive 5,000mAh battery that of course, will be the major pleasure for some enthusiasts.
