Google Search gets new ‘Shopping Homepage’ feature for India


Google has added a new ‘Shopping Tab’ feature which helps Indian users to compare various products price list and availability across different websites and merchants. On top of that users will be allowed to ask questions in both Hindi as well as English language
Search for a product on Google search and a new ‘shopping tab’ will pop up next to news, images and maps. This shopping tab will let you sort out the product with the help of “filter chips”. The filter option will help you differentiate the product on the basis of your budget, product sale and different criteria.

This new Shopping feature on Google Search and Google Lens is designed to browse various products from across multiple websites. Plus it showcases the trending products which are fresh in the market and it also gives you. Shopping Homepage will be available as ‘Shopping Tab’ in Google Search and Style Search in Google Lens. On the bottom of the page, you can also view different categories like clothing, books, watches and phones and so on.

You can also visit the specific website by just clicking on the product where you can view the full details of the product. At the moment, Google is only showing the results of the products which are available online, although the company has explained that they will be expanding with offline stores comparisons very soon.

This ‘Shopping Homepage’ feature works on both mobile and Desktop and more on it can be used via a Progressive Web App (PWA). The other option to use this feature is to use via Google lens, users only need to put the camera on the product and the Google will give you purchasing details of the product.
